- Advancing on your market trend essay: Continue to narrow your topic for the emerging market trend assignment with me and identity 2-3 articles that will provide the necessary data for you to make your claim. To help you narrow your topic, consider interactions with other trends. Check out the resources at purposedriven.tech under Market Trend. - Whether or not you will work in a team for the purpose-driven venture (please announce on June 1 by the latest)
Week 3 Goals
- Understand the difference between building something that you believe is important and building something that a customer wants.
- Practice collecting feedback from potential customers to create a strong value proposition (Consider empathic interviews, customer)
- Apply customer journey mapping to collected user and customer data
- Articulate your theory of social change and assumptions on root causes (and the role of required behavioral change, if any)
- Design feedback mechanisms for current users and customers to constantly improve your value proposition and grow

Week 2 Goals
- Understand that purpose-driven innovation and entrepreneurship is first and foremost driven by the principles of entrepreneurship. Purpose offers a lens through which to make entrepreneurial decisions, but product, team, market, strategy and financial considerations still hold. In fact they may be more important due to associations with purpose-driven entrepreneurship.
- Understand the market power and customer impact that purpose-branded ventures and purpose-driven ventures can exert on incumbents.
